Overview
Our adventure begins at a remote beachside campsite inside West Bali National Park. From here, we will explore the reefs and forests of the Balinese coastline as well as a host of local environmental issues and solutions. Our time here includes a visit to an endangered species breeding program, nightly campfires and a challenging, once-in-a-lifetime night hike through the coastal forest!
Camping adventures are followed by a transition to an exquisite resort, complete with hot springs! From here, we will explore local aquaculture projects and a nearby mountain rainforest and connect with locals involved in various conservation projects.
We will snorkel over both pristine and degraded reefs as well as some fascinating artificial reefs, all of ...which will leave participants with informed opinions about the current state of tropical marine ecosystems. We will return sea turtles to the wild and contribute to recycling programs designed to generate much-needed revenue from the trash that can accumulate along these beautiful shores.
