Besides being one of the highest treks in the world, it also caters to a bigger picture of flora and fauna at an elevation. The mountains seen on this trek are majestic with 8000-meter peaks soaring above all else.
We start the trip by flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and start to walk further into the mountains. Phakding is the first stop after Lukla, the next day we head towards Namchebazar, and after that, the other villages of the himalayas. The villages which we come across in the trek are as beautiful as the panoramic view of the mountains.

How was Hiuchuli Treks started?
After many years in the travel industry, Mr. Tenzing Norbu Sherpa started Hiuchuli Treks in the summer of 1988. Since then, it has expanded & continues to do, with the ever-changing trekking & tour experiences in the Himalayas. Mr. Tenzing’s travel enthusiasm started back in 1975 when Nepal was just opening its borders for travelers to explore the Himalayas & experience its unique heritage. His interest in the Himalayas led to him to organize many French, Swiss & American adventure groups to visit Nepal. Furthermore, ascents to Mt Everest & other 8000 meter peaks were organized. In the ’90s, he started a venture into aviation with Skyline Airways & other tourism experiences.
Knowledge, experience, and professionalism
At Hiuchuli Treks, we describe ourselves as an “experiential” travel operator – and we are much more than a typical trekking agency. As a leading Trek & Tour operator for Nepal, Tibet & Bhutan, we specialize in organizing a wide variety of tours, treks and mountaineering expeditions. This means that we share all of our experiences both as a traveler and as an organizer in relation to your travel wishes, and of course, we give advice and support all the way up to departure. We are a trekking agency run by adventure lovers, all of whom are actively traveling to the exciting destinations of the world. Our specialties are cultural trips, tours, trekking, safari, and expeditions.
Travel today
Hiuchuli Treks has stood and stands for many new concepts in the adventure travel industry. We try to be innovative and always arrange trips that not only take the travelers to the major sights but also gives a unique insight into a country and its culture behind the facades – a kind of “more than tourism”. Travel is for us a lifestyle and a heartfelt passion.
