The Living Project: Wild Adventures To Inspire Life

Description:

A Wilderness Adventure in the West Highlands of Scotland, The Knoydart Peninsula. Beginning with an overnight train from London to Fort William (Via Edinburgh), our “Live Wild” adventure sees us based in the stunning and remote Knoydart Peninsula in the West Highlands of Scotland, also known as “The UK’s last remaining wilderness”. This is a wild adventure of exploration and self sufficiency in which students have the opportunity to explore mountains, lochs, flora and fauna of this wild landscape -touching on themes of sustainability, conservation and community. We can run this as a 7-10 day adventure, using either a base camp model or ...a journey model – depending on the team’s needs and wider adventure objectives. This programme can also be delivered as The John Muir Award. Students will contribute to a local re-wilding initiative (in the home of The John Muir Foundation), and earn their John  Muir Explore Award. Through this adventure students learn self-sufficiency and how to work as a team to move mindfully through a stunning remote landscape. Led by experienced, qualified and inspiring leaders, this is a journey of connection with self, each other and with the natural world of which we are a part. Potential Maximum Number of Students: 15
